Hyde Park Barracks

Come on an adventure through time at the Hyde Park Barracks with a tailored audio guide and activity trail for kids. Hear the fascinating story of the Barracks as told in the words of convicts and immigrants who lived there, listen for clues and complete fun activities.

Elizabeth Farm

Have fun in the garden playing quoits, a popular 19th-century game. Make a mini greenhouse to take home, or step back in time to experience what it was like to do the laundry the old-fashioned way – by hand!

Connect with local First Nations history through the Tony Albert/Dharug-designed ‘memory exchange’ activity. Designed to complement Healing land, remembering Country, this activity allows you to reflect on the experiences and stories of the children in Governor Macquarie’s Native Institute.

Justice & Police Museum

Pick up a kids trail and explore our captivating displays, and discover the stories of Sydney’s original Water Police Station and courts.
