MHNSW is seeking to work in partnership with regional organisations to co-develop programs for regional audiences to be delivered in regional centres. By increasing our regional reach, we will create opportunities for learning, dialogue and collaboration that inspire connection to our shared past and future.

Museums & Galleries of NSW
Since 2023, MHNSW has enjoyed a successful partnership with Museums & Galleries of NSW. We value our partnership highly. A key highlight to date was the inaugural Volunteer Symposium for NSW Regional and Community-Run Museums, held at The Mint on 28–29 July 2025.

Our staff also provide ongoing support for Storyplace, the Volunteer Placement program and the Standards Review Program for small museums, and other initiatives such as delivering workshops on the ground in regional NSW
