Macquarie Street Adventure
Published on Friday 28 March 2025
The Macquarie Street Adventure is a full day of activities held along Macquarie Street, bringing together the NSW Parliament, Museums of History NSW and the State Library of NSW.
Spend the day visiting all three destinations and enjoy a range of activities designed for 5–12-year-olds. Pick up your Macquarie Street Adventure activity trail and collect a sticker from each venue to collect your prize!
Find Trim, the cat, at the State Library of NSW. Trim travelled around Australia with explorer Matthew Flinders. You can also create an owl puppet at the Parliament of NSW. Did you know that a group of owls is called a parliament? At Hyde Park Barracks you’ll find a rat skeleton in the museum. Did you know that archaeologists discovered rats nests that contained thousands of artefacts that tell us about the people who lived at the barracks.
This free school holiday event will be held on Tuesday 15 April, 10am–3pm.
