Members Hour: Elizabeth Bay House
Welcome to Members Hour at Elizabeth Bay House providing members with exclusive access to our properties.
Enjoy a private tour of an area of the house that is rarely open to the public – the back servants’ stairs. Screened from the saloon, these provided discreet access to all levels of the house while emphasising the separation between the Macleay family and their servants.
Led by our museum experts, you will also access the undercroft of the house, consisting of two large and entirely separate cellars. The northern cellar was originally accessible internally via a continuation of the back stairs and housed the wine and spirits, while the cellar to the south contained a larder, dairy and coal storage.
Bookings essential.
