Born before 1900

NRS-12922: Railway Personal History Cards

You may find tramway staff in this records series if the person was born before 1900 and still employed in 1910.

These are all digitised and accessible online.

Born after 1900

NRS-19333: Railway Personal History Cards – Employees born between 1900 and 1962.

You may find cards for tram employees employed up until 1930 in this series, however there is no guarantee that a card exists. The cards can be viewed in our Reading Room, or you can order a copy through our Copy Service (use the section ‘Professions and Occupations Cards’ and select "NRS-19333" from the dropdown list.).
