A locket found in an intestate file
A hidden treasure found the archives
A rare find in the archives is this small locket. It was found among the Intestate Papers of Charles Thompson Dunbar (NRS-13538 case 92-1903) who died in Callan Park Hospital in 1902. Charles left a block a land and some money in the hands of the Master of Lunacy at Callan Park. He had no relatives here in Australia.
The text across the front of the brass locket reads "Fraserburgh" and inside are two images of Fraserburgh, a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Could the locket have been a gift or memento from his home?
