Scheyville Training Farm

Scheyville, near Windsor, was a training farm for young men selected from the Sydney area, and those arriving under various British immigration schemes.

This series of photographs (NRS-5529) illustrate the farm property and buildings, the training programs and aspects of daily life of the people working at Scheyville.

Included in the album is a photograph of an architectural sketch of Scheyville Training Farm by B.Wilshire, Designing Architect in Charge, dated 1926, and photographs of buildings under construction, possibly the new block of buildings commenced in February 1929.

Most of the photographs are undated and there are no captions identifying the young farm workers by name, but may possibly include immigrants recruited under the Dreadnought Scheme and other British migration schemes.
